Angel's Cup $1.25
Dark-roast coffee, topped off as long as the pot's on.
Good coffee. Tall tales. A light left on for you.

Signal Ridge, Oregon
Pull up a chair. We're the little cafe on the bend in Main Street, where the coffee is strong, the pie is homemade, and somebody usually knows your auntie.
Signal Ridge is a small place with a long memory. Whether you're coming off the mountain road, waiting for the school bus, or just passing through, there's room for one more at our counter.
“Best slice of pie between here and the coast.” - Mrs. Bell, probably talking about the marionberry
In 1958, Ada Bell opened the Cafe of Angels in a former rail office with six mismatched stools, a secondhand coffee urn, and her sister's recipe for cloud biscuits. The name came from the hand-painted angel above the door, rescued from the old St. Matthew's Sunday school.
When the timber mill slowed and the passenger train stopped coming through, the cafe stayed open. Ada's daughter Dot took over in 1982, and the counter became the unofficial town notice board: lost mittens, choir practice, rides to the county clinic, and one very disputed fishing report.
Dot still runs the morning shift. The angel sign is a little crooked now, but the door is open just the same.
Signal Ridge is more than one cafe. Tell them we sent you.
Eight tidy rooms, a porch swing, and a little vending machine that flickers when it rains. Ask for the orchard-side room.
Fuel, tire air, cold pop and slush, fishing licenses, and the best map of the old logging roads. Open early for the mill shift.
A white clapboard church with a blue bell and a community supper every second Wednesday. All are welcome.
Local weather, school closings, fiddle hour, and birthday wishes from the tiny studio above the feed store. Personally hosted by local DJ Aubrey!
